Norfolk Knitters and Stitchers - providing support to charities at home and abroad with lovingly hand knitted and sewn items.

There are now 2268 members and 135 groups around the county knitting, crocheting and stitching for charity. We support many charities from orphanages and families abroad to small projects at home. Age is no barrier - members range from the young to some well over 100. We have groups in diverse situations reflecting the whole community. Get in touch if you are interested - there's room for everyone!

Our stitchers made a fantastic effort producing 1524 masks for the homeless in the north of England. Many thanks to all those who helped. I’m sure you’ll be pleased to know you can stand down from your mask making efforts!

Some of our groups are beginning to reopen. Please look at the Local Groups section and contact the organiser to find out the latest information on a specific group.

West Norfolk are planning to hold a normal open day at Providence St on Friday 6th August from 10am to 12 noon. Unfortunately our normal date for the end of July was not available. Tea and coffee will be served and wool will be available to buy. We don’t know what the requirements will be at this stage, so please ensure you have a mask. Further dates will be published in due course.’

Subject to restrictions being lifted the following openings will take place:

South Norfolk: 6 July 1000-1200hrs at the Diss Methodist Church (contact Heather 07719 546822 heather79knitting@outlook.com for further information) - This has been cancelled

North Norfolk: 2 July 1330-1530hrs downstairs at the Community Centre in Sheringham. They will only be able to accept one large bag of items per person (contact Kate 01263 824781, katedavis1001@yahoo.co.uk for further information)

Taverham Group is planning to meet on the Wednesday, 14th July 1330-1530hrs at Hink's Meadow Hall (Margaret Noble)
